A new café and food truck called #999, collaboration between Qatar Museums and Salam Hospitality, opened at the Doha Fire Station, in aim of offering a good place for people to rest in a hurry.
The #999’s truck is the 2nd food truck to open in Qatar.
This truck offers several menu items including camel kofta wrap, Arabic sausage burger and iced tea flavored with saffron. In addition to several nutrition shots such as soups, salads, beverages and coffee with prices ranging from QR20 to QR40 each. Knowing that truck offers take-out meals.
#999 is the same as the emergency number in Qatar in that to serve the idea of this truck because it aims to let people reach it at the time they need an urgent relaxation, taking into consideration that it has the ability to travel around the cities.
This step in considered to be a new stage in developing the vision of Doha Fire Station, which probably will have a restaurant, art supply and a cinema.
These days, Qatar Museums started to test the food truck operators because of plans that are found to set up five similar businesses at the MIA Park after this summer.
Cafe #999 is open daily from 8 am to 11 pm, and 2 pm to 11 pm on Fridays.
