If you are looking for some fun, entertainment and knowledge, then you should attend at least one of these three events that will be taking place this weekend around the city of Doha.
1-Attend a pottery workshop
If you are interested in learning how to turn clay into pottery pieces, then you should attend a workshop that will be hosted by Entalek. During the workshop you will learn to know more about how use the clay and the wheel, the hand-building technique and also you will learn how to treat the surface and other things.
Date and place: on Thursday, Aug. 4 from 7pm to 9pm
Location: Katara’s building No. 10

2-Watch “Going to Heaven”
The Join Doha Film Institute will show: Going to Heaven, a film about 11-year-old Sultan’s journey from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah to find his grandmother. After watching the film, audience will be able to ask Saeed Salmeen, the film maker, who will be attending.
Ticket prices: QR35 per person, and QR25 for students, pre-arranged groups of 10 and more people, and those with Qatar Museum’s Culture Pass.
You can get ticket online and at DFI’s ticket outlet across from the MIA Auditorium on Thursday and Friday, from noon to 8pm.
3-Swim and run at Aspire
If you want to swim, run or even do both, then you should go every Sunday and Wednesday of this month to the Aspire Dome’s athletics track and swimming pool. This track and pool can accept 50 people per session (QR10/person) and you register before starting the session.
Time: open from 6pm to 7:45pm.
Ages: starting from 9 years old.
