Lebanese expatriates will start to vote on Friday in the parliamentary elections in six Arab countries, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday in a statement carried by the official NNA news agency.
The first stage of the voting will kick off in six Arab countries, including the State of Qatar. The second stage will start on Sunday in 33 American, European, Asian and African countries as well as Australia, with voting set to conclude on Monday morning.
According to the new electoral law, Lebanese expats are voting a for the first time, with the process taking place in 39 countries.
The elections will take place in the country on May 6, in which 917 candidates, including 111 women, run for 128 parliamentary seats within 77 registered lists.
