Keep your eyes on Qatar skies on Nov 24

Skywatchers in Qatar will have a chance to observe five planets in the solar system, one at a time, over a period of one week towards the end of November.

Mars and Mercury will appear during dawn while Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn evening.

Mars will be the first one to approach Moon, on Sunday, November 24. The red planet will be will be at four degrees south of the Moon’s center. The residents will also have a chance to see Mars and Moon together with naked eyes over eastern horizon from the rise-time of Mars at 3:50am Doha local time till the sunrise time at 5:57am.

On Monday, November 25, the smallest planet Mercury will be at two degrees south of the Moon’s center. You’ll be able to observe Mercury at the nearest point from the Moon for more than one hour from the rise-time Mercury at 4:30am till the Sunrise time at 5:58am

The brightest planet Venus will be at the nearest point of the new crescent on Thursday, November 28. Venus also will be at two degrees south of the new crescent. The residents can see Venus and the Moon over western horizon of Qatar sky from sunset time at 4:44pm, till 6:25pm.
