MOI to deal seriously with behavioral problems
The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Community Police Department, organised the second co-ordinating meeting of the social care and rehabilitation institutions in Qatar on mechanisms to deal with behavioural problems.
The meeting focused on discussing the mechanism of co-operation between the social care and rehabilitation institutions. Additionally, it discussed the need for a central database to serve this issue.
Director of Community Police Department Colonel Sultan Mohamed al-Kaabi stressed the importance of the meeting to study ways of addressing problems and behavioural deviations to achieve clear visions through which the mechanisms of dealing with these cases will be determined according to the nature of each case.
He pointed out the role of the Community Police Department in preventing problems of behavioural deviations, whether through educational and awareness programmes, or through the cadres of the management trained on family intervention and follow-up cases with the authorities concerned in country.
For her part, Head of the Communication Service Department of the Community Police First Lieutenant Doaa al-Fayadh, praised the positive interaction by the institutions of social care and rehabilitation in the country with regard to the mechanism to deal with cases of behavioural problems, noting the importance of the involvement of all institutions and relevant parties to study the treatment of cases of behavioural deviations.
