Qatar Airways to fly 12 flights weekly to the following destination
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Qatar and Jordan, which will allow Qatar Airways to increase its passenger flights between Doha and Amman to 12 per week and the cargo flights to seven.
A round of talks took place over two days between Qatar, represented by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and Jordan, represented by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), touching on enhancing air transport between the two countries and means of boosting mutual cooperation in the field of civil aviation and airports.
The talks resulted in signing of a memorandum of understanding on boosting transport rights between the two countries, with the memorandum allowing Qatar Airways to increase its passenger flights between Doha and Amman to 12 per week and the cargo flights to seven.
Qatar’s delegation was led by CAA Chairman Abdulla bin Nasser Turki Al Subaey, while CARC Chief Commissioner Haitham Misto chaired the Jordanian side.
The two sides also agreed on the importance of upgrading the air services agreement that both countries signed in 1976. The memorandum is effective starting Monday.
