Qatar-Gulf crisis maybe be solved soon
The illegal siege of Qatar, which is fast approaching its first year anniversary, continues to endure. Kuwait, which has been at the forefront of finding a solution to the crisis, has not given up on the efforts.
Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al Jarallah has expressed his hope that the GCC-US summit, which is scheduled to take place in September, would contribute to turning over a new leaf in the history of the relations among the GCC member states, according to Gulf Times.
The Kuwaiti Minister, who was speaking on the sidelines of a ‘Ghabqa’ (dinner banquet in Ramadan), said the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah had expressed feelings of pain and concern about the GCC crisis.
There has been global acceptance and appreciation for Kuwait’s efforts, led by Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, to mediate the Gulf crisis.
