Qatar is now Ranked FIRST in Gulf region
Qatar, the country has been ranked first in the Gulf region and fifth in the world in an international mobile internet speed index. UAE, KSA, Oman, and Bahrain followed Qatar.
This index ranks mobile and fixed broadband speeds from all over the world on a monthly basis.
According to the index, Qatar ranked first among all Gulf countries and 39th globally in terms of fixed broadband internet speed for the month of April with a speed of 62.65 Mbps.
Norway took the lead as first across the globe for mobile Internet speed at 65.41 Mbps, followed by Canada at 64.42 Mbps and South Korea at 63.81 Mbps.
Last year, Vodafone Qatar, preceded by Oreedoo, launched its 5G networks for the first time in the country giving customers a chance to enjoy higher bandwith and increased speed on their smart devices.
