Al Khor Fly-In 2018

Ooredoo announced that it will be the official sponsor of the 2018 Al Khor Fly-In event.

The popular event, which is now in its 10th year, is designed to encourage aviation enthusiasts and families from across the region to visit Al Khor, and see the range of planes and aviation technology available.

This year the event is expected to draw large crowds from across Qatar, due to its family-friendly activities and visitors can see a range of light aircraft on display, as well as interact with the pilots.

The Al Khor Fly-In is a great family day out and a perfect way to interest the young ones in the field of aviation.

Entry is free.

Al Shaqab Community Fair

Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation, is organizing a series of Community Fairs as part of its community engagement initiative. The inaugural Al Shaqab Community Fair, will feature products of Qatar, namely, honey, flowers and Kanar, the fruit of the Sidra Tree. The Sidra tree and its fruit are the iconic symbol of the country’s heritage. It is related to the Qatari culture and has grown in the deserts of Qatar for generations.

QBG and Baladiya will also conduct two workshops for the duration of the Community Fair:

Workshop 1 – Journey Into Flowers, (10 – 11 am)

Workshop 2 – Future Proofing – Growing Plants for Qatar, (11 am – 12 noon)

In addition to the workshops, children will be able to participate in a Flower Planting Competition. Prizes will be awarded to the best growing plant 2 weeks after the end of the Community Fair. Bouncing castles and pony rides will also be available for young children to enjoy their day at Al Shaqab.

Laugh Out Loud with Wacky Kiray and Boobita

Multichannel Marketing & Services together with WEGO Qatar will present its annual production collaboration debut the first “Laugh Out Loud Comedy Show 2018”, with two of the most hilarious comedians: Wacky Kiray and Boobita.

‘Laugh Out Loud’ is the year’s funniest and wackiest look-back happening in Doha-Qatar, an annual comedy show that will bring tonnes of laughter not only to the Filipino community but also to other nationalities.

Biryani Festival at Hotel Park Doha

First of its kind in Qatar, organised by Four and One, this four-day event promises to be a great treat for all foodies and food adventurers, where skilled restaurateurs and chefs from the south Asian region will converge.

The festival is set to arouse and excite the gastronomic juices of the expected thousands of participants daily.

In all, 45 exhibitors will be showcasing their skills as over 100 types of biryani, including Mughlai, Lucknow gosht, Kashmiri vegetable, mussels, prawns, hara macchi, egg, harkmas (beef), Malabar chicken, Mattanjery chicken, Kayikka’s beef, Thalassery mutton, the traditional Afghani and Irani and others will be on offer during the highly anticipated festival.

The entry-free event will also feature celebrity oriental chefs, competitions, games and a kid’s play zone.
